After a lifetime in corporate HR and an uncertain future (facing a 4hour commute to London after my company had been taken over)  I found myself faced with a choice. I either looked for a new job or something that I could do for myself..  I’d previously been quite unwell with an arthritic hip which found me often in a wheelchair so I knew I would not be the No. 1 choice for employers – after all I had been one so I new I was not what they were looking for!

With financial commitments stretching into an extended retirement I started looking at the potential of working from home – something that had really never entered my head before. In truth there are millions of opportunities listed on the internet, mostly promising you a 6-figure income for seemingly doing very little and in a very short period of time. I was not interested in any of these as I frankly didn’t believe them. That was until I found a business opportunity aligned to something very close to my heart – health and nutrition.

Should you decide that this business opportunity is for you too, then it would be my job to ensure that you receive the best training possible, the very best support possible and step by step guidance on how to be as successful as you want to be.  There is no advantage to me whatsoever if you joined my organisation and did nothing so I have every reason to help you to the best of my ability for you to achieve your potential and your personal goals.  However, I am not your boss, so I am looking for people who are not afraid of consistency and hard work, who are teachable and who have a genuine desire to help others, as well as themselves. The business opportunity I found 7 years ago is in the Health and Nutrition arena, something I  am really passionate about,  particularly as most of the medical field state that up to 70% of GP visits are directly linked to illnesses attributed to what they put in their mouths and their general lifestyle. So who might be interested in our products or the ability to earn extra income (particularly in this tough economic climate) – EVERYBODY!  Who doesn’t want to live longer and healthier? Who doesn’t want to turn back the clock on anti-ageing? Who doesn’t want to have a healthier lifestyle and be around for their children / grandchildren or even aged parents? NOBODY! It really doesn’t matter how much money you have, without our health and wellbeing, we really don’t have much!

So what better way of earning a living than by providing something that everyone wants?  The company I work with is a premier Health and Welklness company called Herbalife International.  If you haven’t heard of them before, don’t feel too bad – I hadn’;t 7 years ago either!  What I will tell you about Herbalife though is that they have been in existence for the past 30 years, have been listed on the New York Stock Exchange for the past 7 years (where their stock price has increased by 100% over the past year – just incredible when so many other large companies are going to the wall), that they operate in 73 countries so far and have scientifically proven products – by which I mean clinically trialled by independent universities around the world, that have helped make Herbalife the No. 1 weightloss company in the world and a company that helps over 4m people worldwide with their weight management, energy management, their cardiovascular health and sports nutrition.

Don’t take my word for it though – we are just scratching the surface of obesity, diabetes and other lifestyle-induced ailments in the UK alone.  We have over 4m people on our products at any one time and around 1.5m distributors worldwide.  We really need to up our game and help people, not just to improve their overall health but to give the ordinary person the best opportunity to achieve extraordinary things and to lead an extraordinary life/

I genuinely believe that I am in the right industry, the right company and the right business at the right time.
