Honestly I wish peaches were in season all year round because I cannot get enough! What do I love more than peaches though? Fall. I am so inspired by fall cooking and baking. I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s the fresh produce I prefer or the cooler temps but I am here. for. it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pancakes might be my favorite breakfast food so naturally I needed to create a recipe that involved two of my favorite flavors: chai and apples. These pancakes are hearty, slightly sweet, earthy (in a good way!)&#8230; basically fall in a recipe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Here\u2019s What You Need:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Apple<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 any kind works!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Oat flour <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013\u00a0you can make your own by grinding up oats.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Coconut flour<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Applesauce<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 make sure you grab unsweetened!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Chai tea <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 a tea bag or loose leaf tea bags both work.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Egg whites<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Vanilla extract<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Baking powder<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>baking soda<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Spices<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and salt.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>How to Make Apple Chai Pancakes<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><em>These apple chai pancakes are super easy to make! Set dry ingredient mixture aside. In a separate bowl, mix the wet ingredients \u2013 the applesauce, chai tea and egg whites. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until well combined. Add your pancake batter and cook for about 3 minutes on one side and 1.5 minutes on the other. The common thread through these tips is patience!<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Preheat the griddle. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you start with a griddle that isn\u2019t hot enough it will mess up your cooking time so be patient and wait for your griddle to be hot.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Use oil to grease the pan. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No one wants to scrape their pancakes off the pan!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Be patient but attentive when cooking side one.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Bubbles will start to form on the top of the batter. When the bubbles pop and the edges are browning and\/or look cooked, your pancakes are ready to flip!\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Cook your pancakes about half as long on side two. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cook your pancakes longer on side one for a more seamless flip. If your pancakes aren\u2019t cooked enough, you\u2019ll end up with a doughy, messy flip. Side two only needs half as long!
